Applications for audition for the 2024-2025 season are now open!

The National Youth Orchestra of Ireland endeavours to bring together the most talented musicians aged between 12 and 20 from all corners of Ireland for residential courses and concerts, recordings, workshops and events. Annual auditions ensure the young players are selected purely on the basis of musical ability.

Auditions for NYOI will take place on:

  • Friday 11th October 2024: Omagh
  • Saturday 12th October 2024: Dublin
  • Sunday 13th October 2024: Dublin
  • Friday 18th October 2024: Cork
  • Saturday 19th October 2024: Cork
  • Sunday 20th October 2024:  Galway 

 

NYOI will also host audition training workshops on:

  • Saturday 28th September 2024: Cork 
  • Sunday 29th September 2024: Dublin.

Fees

The core annual NYOI programme consists of two residential courses and tours: Winter and Summer. The annual registration fee to participate in both residencies is €900, divisible into instalments

The fee amount goes towards covering accommodation and catering during the courses – participation in the orchestra, training programmes and performances is free. 

Bursaries and financial support are available.

Note on fees for over 18s

Participants over the age of 18 may decide to make alternative accommodation arrangements over the course of the residencies. If this is the case, please contact us regarding the waiving of the registration fee.
